Domestic & international policyLandmine Action’s domestic and international policy work aims to enhance protection of civilians from the effects of weapons during and after conflict through advocacy, based on research-supported policy recommendations. Such protection will result from states adopting means and methods of conflict that give greater priority to civilian protection than is currently the case. In order to influence policy and legal changes, Landmine Action works in partnership with other NGOs and international organisations in coalitions including the International Campaign to Ban Landmines (ICBL) and the Cluster Munition Coalition (CMC), with sympathetic states and within various domestic and international diplomatic fora to focus attention on specific issues of concern.
