Volunteer

Do you have a few hours to spare on a regular basis?

We would be delighted to see you. We have a small team of regular volunteers at our Headquarters in London, who support our paid staff.

• Handling requests from the public
• Research
• Updating supporter databases
• Promoting our campaigns with other organisations and organising campaign activities
• Contacting local groups
• Support to the programmes
• General administrative tasks, such as photocopying and filing

Our hours are Monday to Friday, 9.30 - 5.30pm. Our office is near Vauxhall Bridge; nearest tube is Vauxhall (Victoria Line).

We will reimburse your travel and lunch expenses (£5 per day).

• enthusiasm and willingness to help with a variety of tasks
• regular commitment (weekly, fortnightly or monthly)
• working knowledge of Microsoft applications is an advantage (we will provide training if appropriate)

Internships

Landmine Action runs an internship scheme at our London HQ. Interns are required to commit to a miniumum of 3 days per week, for a period of three months, although this can be negotiated depending on the individual and the organisations' needs.  

Internships are unpaid positions, although reasonable travel expenses and lunch (£5 per day) will be covered. This provides an excellent opportunity for those wanting to begin a career in international development.
